Well, the time has come apparently. Lake has complained twice in the past week about his tooth. We had x-rays this morning and it shows not just the one tooth, but both front teeth's roots are inflamed which will eventually lead to an infection. both? I was not expecting that at all. Both were injured (one chipped, one completely knocked out of place) but I didn't know the other one was dying.

Anyway, we are set to have them "extracted" in a week. yuck yuck yuck. We may have them replaced with fake teeth but we haven't decided yet. The permanent teeth don't come in until 6 or 7.

Ugh

potty

I hate the little potty. I was ready to put it away for good (for a while anyway) because Lake doesn't need it. He just likes it. However, we were getting ready for bath last Friday and my little M couldn't wait to go sit on it. what? I'm so ok with waiting until he's 3 to potty train, really. but pretty much anytime we take a bath now, maddox goes and sits on the potty and pee pees. last Friday when he first did it and peed, he was so fascinated. I think he looked down for 10 minutes...hehe.

by the way, this is as far as I'm going with it. I'm hoping for the self potty training for the second one!

sneaky

very sneaky...I'm going to have to watch out for Lake. He's starting to be sneaky and trying to trick us!

He loves to fall asleep in our bed (he goes to be around 7:30/8) usually. Most nights, he doesn't mind going to sleep in his room but this week, he's done the following:
- pretended his turtle that shines stars on the wall wasn't working. brought it down and I figured out he had turned it off somehow (under the vecro cover to get to the switch). or so I thought!! he proceeds back down after about 5 minutes. Guess what, it's turned off again. sneaky
- tonight, I put him to bed in his room. he was happy, reading books, etc. Jeff goes up and finds him in our bed!!!

I'm not sure this full-time working mom can hang with a sneaky 3 year old right now. I've always thought I would outsmart my kids, but I'm tired by the time 8 comes around y'all!!

I mean, Jeff has all of the fun! Ran into him at a Whataburger in Dallas while there for the super bowl. Jeff proceeds to call me at 3:30am ET to tell me he just met him. I would have been ok if he would have waited until the morning :) Don't get me wrong, it's really cool, but two things: 1) I'm jealous I didn't meet him 2) I need my sleep! Lake came into my room about 30 minutes later. I'm not sure if he heard me talking or what. He was basically sleep walking in the room anyway. Yes, he stayed with me. I was too tired to take him back to his room. And like clockwork, he woke up about 2 hours later around 6!

By the way, I'm still pretty jealous...

how could I forget?

do you see? the foot? drives me CRAZY!!! without fail, every time we get in the car. the shoe, the sock...fly off. I can't believe I didn't include that in Maddox's latest! so I'm diving in the car to find where he threw the shoe and sock when we pull up to the preschool everyday. Just that foot. Not the other one. silly little boy!
