10 Months!!

Maddox was 10 months on the 28th and only TWO MORE MONTHS until we get to celebrate his first birthday!

Firsts:
3/23 - started clapping
3/25 - started waving
3/27 - started pulling up to stand. He has been pulling up to stand on very low things earlier in the month, but just started to pull up on things that were above his shoulder level and starting to cruise.
3/30 - noticed that his top right front tooth is just starting to barely break through.

I've been on a trip since Saturday and this is my first time away from Maddox and the longest I've been away from Lake. More on the trip in another post, but I sure did miss them! And Jeff can't be trusted while away...I came home to a new train table that apparently Lake just had to have!

Now you see it....

now you don't!!!

Maddox's hair constantly looked like the first picture so I was forced to cut it for the first time on Saturday (3/13/10). He kept coming home from school with food in it and everything too!

"Hi Mrs. Lake"

Two year olds say the funniest things... All the babies know the other babies' mommies so I walked in the other morning with Lake and got a "hi Mrs. Lake" from one of the little girls. It was too cute. On the way out, I walked by another little boy and who pointed and said "Lake's mommy".

Deciphering two year old talk is funny as well. Lake wore sandals last weekend when the weather was nice. He kept pointing to his sandals (I thought anyway)and would say castles or that's what it sounded like and I couldn't understand why he was saying that. Finally, one time when I was going to put them on, he said "sandcastles"!! Sandals, sand, sandcastles... I guess that's how their little brains work!

On a Maddox front, we are exploring our table foods now because I realized/remembered that I hate baby food past the stage 2 jars...so I'm done with jar food! He gets school lunch now too after he kept trying to eat the other babies' food. Here are some recent pictures of Maddox. I need to try to take some of Lake if he'll let me. This tends to always be a challenge still.

Oh, and today is our niece Harper's birthday party. Have fun at your party and wish we could all be there! Happy first birthday!

Yum, cheese!

I try to take a picture with the kids every once in a while so we have at least one together! I'm always behind the camera and getting Jeff to take pictures is like pulling teeth! He has the patience of a, well, two year old! :)

Happy Day Day Daddy!

Happy Birthday!!! We love you!

One of Maddox, but you can hear Lake quietly in the background which makes me laugh.

I included this one because you get a nice closeup of Lake's awful black eye where he misstepped (again!) and this time hit the edge of a step at the playground. It's the worst black eye yet.
