3 Year Check-up

We had Maddox's check-up today. Besides the hysterical crying for the first 30 minutes while the nurse tried to ask me questions, his check-up went well. He grew 3 inches in the past year which is a little above average so who knows, he might catch up to Lake :) Weight: 30 lbs Height: approximately 36 3/4 inches. I say approximately because we had to pin him against the wall as the hysterics had started already. BP: 86/40 BMI: 15.66% She also had him draw a circle for her and said he had very good motor skills. more birthday weekend pics below:

and this is how we find him in the morning. either lying by his books with all of his blankets and animals or reading his books. sometimes we find him behind the curtain with a book where he can actually see it in the light.

Happy 3rd Birthday to my Maddy!

We kicked off the birthday weekend with a little celebration at school

then instead of a party, we decided to go to Chattanooga and spend some time with the boys. Maddox still loves trains so we stayed in a train hotel. We went to Rock City and Ruby Falls and had a great time. Lots of pics to come later. Then we ended the weekend with the actual birthday celebration :) We love you sweet, sweet boy

Little Piggies

Lake's end of year pre-k play was two weeks ago and when I found out he was going to be a little piggy, I couldn't resist making shirts for it. He did a great job!

we had to say goodbye to out last two dogs this month. Our labby, Abbi, earlier in May and then Mason, just last week. Both had been deteriorating in health but both showed more severe signs this month. Ultimately, the doctor believed both to likely have cancer in the end. We will miss them dearly. I don't have a recent picture of our little hound but here is one of Abbi.

Camping

we took the boys camping Mother's day weekend. I think they had a good time for their first time. We hiked to a waterfall and it was still pretty cold during the day and especially at night. We hope to do it some more!
