Calendar Catch-up

oops, kind of forgot about posting these the beginning of each month...

Maddox - 11 Months!

Sweet baby Maddox... this month he's gotten another tooth (top left), which makes 4! He's been crusing a lot and he's been doing this spider crawl (on all 4's)! ...started climbing stairs. Swings his arms like crazy when he dances (I must get this on video and post). and just generally soooo loving and sweet. Oh, he waves bye and claps a lot too. One of my sweet moments with the boys was just a few days ago, I was rocking Maddox before bed and Lake was sitting by me in the chair. Lake helped me sing twinkle twinkle to Maddox. Lake even said "head down" when Maddox raised his head off my chest to see what was going on. sweet babies









I've been really busy so I haven't posted a lot in the past month or so. A few catch up posts following as well...

Playing in the "dirt"

that's what Lake called it when we were planting flowers this past weekend. He was a big help and let's just say, the flowers got plenty of water.

A visit to Alabama

We were supposed to go to Clanton Easter weekend but Lake had strep so we went the weekend after. It was really pretty outside so we played a lot and Lake got to ride a 4-wheeler for the first time. He LOVED it of course!

Woodcocker

Lake is still lots of fun these days. Lots of "what is that?" or "where'd Daddy go?" or "almost home?". He still jumbles up words sometimes which are just funny. We have a woodpecker we hear most mornings and we'll talk about him after he says, "what's that?". Well, the other afternoon, Lake came up to me and said, "woodcocker scared me!". :) Don't worry, lots of things are scary these days and no, the "woodcocker" isn't anywhere to be seen in our house. You have to love two year olds!

This is just proof Lake will SOMETIMES smile for the camera. A very rare occurrence, I know.

NY recap

I went on a trip with two my college friends the end of March so here's a quick recap. We had lots of fun, it was nice to be with adults for a while, and I missed my babies!





Yes, pretty much just pictures of our faces... :) not a lot of the sights! but we did go to the Met, stayed near Central Park, shopped a lot, and ate at some yummy restaurants.
