- tells us when he has poop and makes us change him most of the time. completely different than Lake about this. actually, he'll tell me, follow me to the changing table, watch me get the wipe and diaper ready, and then runs away and makes me chase him.
- talking so much more
- we have to read at least one book before bed or it's a complete meltdown
- he just recently, in the last day or so started with "no, mine". ugh
- pretty much completely skipped the whole "mama" phase and went straight to "mommy". though he says daddy way more.
- copies everything Lake does. everything. I know I've mentioned this before, but it's happening more and more now.
- and the not so cute stuff? he hits, bites, and throws things. wow. I know. :) he's learning that he's not supposed to. most of the biting is when he is playing actually.
- we just bought some size 6 shoes.
- he's still skinny. he's getting taller but he can still wear his 12-18 mo pants, though short.
- At school, his teachers tell me he's silly and that he climbs up in the strangest places. I found him one day in the play kitchen sink.
Is any of this painting a picture of his little personality?
ok, all I can think of this month!

my noise
"my noisssseeee", "my noissssseeee". This was Lake at target the other day. (the one where you park underground). He was VERY loud yelling "my noise" while listening to his echo. Luckily, it was very early and I think we were the only ones down there :)
other funny Lakey moments, lately he has been hiding toys from Maddox. Granted, ones he's playing with that he doesn't want Maddox to get, but it's pretty funny. Or he'll hide them before he has to leave the room to potty or something. hilarious.
Poor baby has had strep since last Wed too. He is much better now. However, I think he stayed in my lap the whole day last Thursday.
btw, we were at Target to get a Buzz Lightyear. he's a big fan. we have to be careful about the things he watches though. Even some parts in the Toy Story movies are scary to him. sweet guy

more snow pics
I might as well document this event well since it might not happen for another 20 years! I measured the snow on our back table and it was 7 inches high. It wasn't like that in all places, but it's a ton of snow...and ice.
Maddox, what can I say. I don't think he knew what to make of so much snow. And he kept taking his gloves off and asking to put them back on. He was watching Lake and Jeff sled, bottom right.
Sledding was so much fun today! We started by driving to the neighborhood hill. Then later, started using our street as the ramp. Lake and I attempted to build a snowman but the thick sheet of ice on top of the snow was no fun to play with! I was trying to break it up by kicking it and it hurt!
We did venture outside of our neighborhood earlier today (bottom right) to sight see. No more than a few miles. The roads were covered.

oh, how I love 3 year olds! (and my little 1 year old too)

So, you know Lake's adversion to taking pictures. Hates it, hardly ever cooperative, etc. But on New Year's Eve, I decided that since I haven't been good about taking pictures in the past few months, I'd try. by myself...with two kids...
Lake was being so funny and silly. I'm glad I was able to capture it! You can literally read his face throughout me taking pictures. I'm making up for the picture neglect below. (click to make them bigger)
