Life in iPhone pics

Our visit in Alabama

Who knows what these little boys were inspecting...but it looks pretty serious

Waiting for antibiotic and trying to entertain after our coughing drama. I believe this was also the day I got asked if he was a girl!

Breakfast with mommy

I mean, we can put "puppy" down for breakfast, right? No

From today! Maddox has lately been staying right up under me. So today, a rare pic of me and the kids!

Little Maddox

I'm so behind in my posts! Between the stomach bug that attacked us last week, that thankfully spared Maddox, and work and life, I just haven't found time to post. Anyway, lots of posts below starting with this one.

Maddox has asthma or at least baby asthma and is prone for all colds turning into some kind of infection. Anyway, he got a virus this week with fever which quickly turned into non-stop coughing when he laid down. Took him to urgent care (after trying to go to bed and couldn't), after inhalers, etc, his lungs sounded fine but they did chest x-rays to be sure he didn't have pneumonia. then the next day, he just couldn't stop coughing and we got no sleep. back to the doctor. RSV was negative but the virus appears to be like RSV. this time, we got sent home with a nebulizer and a prescription for Orapred, which if you remember when he had pneumonia over Thanksgiving is evil medicine! Luckily, it was just in case and for now, he is getting better. But look at this little guy :)

Sweet little guys

me: hey boys, will you sit down and smile? ok, now give Lake a hug. and....my 2 minutes were up :)

This little mischievous boy to the left is a mess. Took the boys to Clanton a few weeks back. Maddox was in his pack and play in Noah's room. Lake slept with me. First off, Lake wakes up and puts his arm around me and says, "I love you". oh my goodness...so sweet. Then we get up and I go to check on Maddox. Oh Maddox. I hear the sound machine going off and on and immediately start to panic because he could only get to it if he's gotten out of the pack n' play. So I go to open the door, it's LOCKED!!! I go wake my sister and tell her we need to open the door. She gets the little key thing and we cannot get it in to unlock. She's about to take the knob off and Maddox unlocks the door! I think his plan of escape was scaling the pack n' play net, used the bed (about 5 inches away) as leverage and got out. we are in for it. oh, did I mention he had a marble in his hand? gasp... luckily, the marble container was not infiltrated and it was just a rogue marble!

He is not afraid of water. He frequently flips over on his stomach in the tub, kicks and splashes, sticks the side of his head in the water, and of course drinks it, yuck :)

My sweet Lake on the other hand, is keeping us busy these days. Jeff recently got him a fish, which he promptly named Dory. They love watching Nemo...definitely one of the favorites.
A little birthday celebration for daddy! They are so excited to sing and eat cupcakes!

The tooth fairy stopped by!

left: Lake "roaring" as I'm asking him to smile! bottom right: his little teeth

Lake's extraction went well. They actually take them back without the parents if possible. I didn't expect that but it makes sense they would be more upset wanting us the whole time if we were with them. Overall, it was pretty quick. They said he was pretty mad but calmed down some with the gas. He had big mommy tears as soon as he saw me when he walked out! he did such a good job. And now his little teeth don't hurt and he understands that. We picked out a toy after and got ice cream! While at the dr, they were talking about the tooth fairy. That didn't even occur to me until they mentioned it! I'm very glad because the tooth fairy was able to come visit that night. Lake put his teeth under his pillow and woke up to a little present!

Valentine's Party

Valentine's parties! and Maddox very serious about his crayons.
